Wilco Area Career Center in Romeoville, Ill., received $20,000
in equipment donations from Collision Revision Auto Body
Repair through the Collision Repair Education
Foundation.
The school received a frame pulling post, spot welders, plasma
cutters, masking machine, bed lifter, shredder vacuum, floor
scrubber, four parts carts, alignment machine, and five parts
stands. Collision Revision contacted the Collision Repair
Education Foundation regarding the slightly used equipment
that they had available and wanted to place into a local
school and Wilco Area Career Center Collision Instructor Art
Coon was able to utilize the equipment for his school’s
program.
Wilco Area Career Center Auto Body Instructor Art Coon said,
“The Wilco Area Career Center would like to thank all those at
Collision Revision for their generous donation of tools and
for all their time. The equipment not only helped out the Auto
Body program, it also helped out our Auto Service and Welding
programs too. Donations such as this help in the training of
our students and is a win–win for everybody.”
“Collision Revision is proud to partner with the Collision
Repair Education Foundation and the Wilco Area Career Center
to support local auto body educational programs,” stated
Collision Revision President Brandon Thomas. “We hope the
equipment goes a long way in providing hands-on repair
experience to the students.”
Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Scott
Kruger said, “The Education Foundation would like to thank
Collision Revision for their generous donation to Wilco Area
Career Center and their collision program. This is a perfect
example of how local industry members can make a huge impact
at their local schools. Collision Revision’s donation helped
place equipment into a school that might not have the
budgetary means to purchase and now these students can utilize
this equipment in their classroom. On behalf of the
Foundation, our Board of Trustees, and the students we
support, I would like to thank Collision Revision for their
support and welcome them into the organization’s Industry
Leadership Circle donor recognition program.”
