PPG will host an MVP Business Solutions Conference in Palm
Springs, Calif., March 27 to 29. Focusing on the theme "Journey
to Excellence," the conference will present prominent speakers,
seminars and interactive workshops designed to give
participants opportunities to tap into new ideas and strategies
to enhance their continuous business improvement
efforts.
"Success for collision centers in this economy depends on
keeping your organization heading in the right direction and
accelerating performance from the bottom to the top," said
Randy Dewing, senior manager, MVP Business Solutions. "This MVP
conference is geared toward helping owners and managers realize
exceptional positive results - real results that will improve
performance and keep our customers on the leading edge of
process and business improvement. Our speakers, experts in
their fields, will show how an organization can keep moving
ahead and stepping up its performance through a number of
approaches and techniques."
Conference keynote speaker Greg Smith is recognized as a
leading authority on change and talent management, leadership
development and employee retention. In his presentations, he
teaches audiences how to create high-performance organizations
that manage change in the workplace, develop leaders and
increase innovation. Based on proven concepts, conference
participants will be able to develop a plan to immediately
generate measurable, bottom-line performance improvement
results and be able to adapt to changing trends in today's
challenging work environment.
Other speakers include
Michael McMillan, author of Pink Bat, a book showing how
situations very often perceived to be problems are actually
unrecognized solutions or new opportunities. Kevin King, a
well-known authority on federal bureaucracy, will discuss its
recent missteps in a don't-miss overview of bureaucracies gone
wild, how it affects business and what can be done about it.
In addition, the conference will offer management
training, a number of breakout seminar sessions and a variety
of workshops, including "Hire the Best, Forget the Rest! How to
Hire and Retain Top People Each and Every Time," a presentation
by Smith in which he offers his insights about attracting,
hiring and retaining skilled and talented people. Other topics
include "The 7 Qualities of the Leader as Coach-Secrets to
Leading in the Inspiration Age" with Tom Heck, addressing the
changed nature of the current workforce and how that calls for
a new leadership approach with individuals and teams in
collision centers.
Led by the marketing experts of the MVP Business Solutions
team, Norm Angrove and John Martin, the "360º Marketing
Systems" seminar will highlight the practical tools collision
center owners and managers can use in their business. The
session will include the strategy and need for connecting with
the four generations in the marketplace, social media
engagement, elevating the customer experience and new insurer
communication opportunities.
Attendance at the
conference is open to owners and managers of collision centers
using PPG Refinish products. Online registration will begin
January 11.
