Nov. 15, 2016—Lefler Collision and Glass Repair Center, an MSO in the Evansville, Ind., area, is selling blankets to help support Uncharted International, a nonprofit organization. The proceeds will also support Loom House, a Fair Trade project which provides employment for orphans in Myanmar.
The blankets Lefler Collision is selling, which cost $45 plus shipping and handling, are handcrafted by women in Myanmar, most of whom are orphans. Uncharted International provides these workers with a salary, free housing, food, and healthcare.
Those interested in ordering blankets are encouraged to email Jimmy Lefler, CEO of Lefler Collision, at [email protected]. Each blanket being sold in this fundraising initiative has a sewn-on tag signed by the woman who made it in Myanmar.
Lefler has aided Uncharted International since 2008, and has traveled to Myanmar 11 times in an effort to aid the program.
“A hand up instead of a handout is what they really want,” Lefler noted of those that Uncharted International supports.
