The result creates an illusion that leaves the impression of unbelievable color depth, saturation and gloss that cannot normally be obtained using a standard basecoat and clearcoat system. This process also makes the painting task more challenging and a match extremely difficult.
Spraying DuPont Custom Finishes CFX Candy Basecoat colors provide the same vibrant color and dimension of a candy with the ease of application and color match of a normal two-stage basecoat. The new basecoat candy formulas are designed to provide a variety of color options that are easy to apply even for a novice painter. In the event that additional parts require painting or repair, the candy color formula can be retrieved for color matching.
The new CFX Candy Basecoat colors will be on display in booth #22391 in Hot Rod Alley, Central Hall, at the annual SEMA tradeshow in Las Vegas. The colors will be represented with a display of custom artwork painted by artists from Southern California in a painting event organized by Lowrider Magazine.
