The global automotive aftermarket community has a number of key events coming up at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.

This reception is the primary international networking event at AAPEX. In 2010, more than 800 top-level international and domestic business people active in the export market attended the Reception to network with business contacts from around the globe. With international buyers up and even greater sponsorship support in 2012, this year’s event should be bigger. Additional information on the event can be found here.
The AASA Executive Breakfast is an important educational event at AAPEX. The breakfast, which will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, will provide you a glimpse into the status of the aftermarket in the United States. For this annual kick-off event on the opening day of AAPEX, AASA has secured a panel of leading private equity executives to discuss what private equity investors can bring to traditional aftermarket in “Under the Hood: How Private Equity Is Changing the Automotive Aftermarket.” Tony Cristello, managing director at BB&T Capital Markets Equity Research, will moderate the panel, which includes Mark Barnhill, principal, Platinum Equity (owner of Keystone Automotive Operations Inc. and Wheel Pros); Terry Theodore of Wynnchurch (owner of Vista-Pro Automotive) and John Tudor of Friedman, Fleischer and Lowe (owner of Transtar Industries). Additional information on the event can be found here.
Another must-attend event is the AASA/AAIA Chairmen’s Reception. The reception, held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, is the welcoming event for AAPEX and all exhibitors and buyers are invited to attend as part of their AAPEX experience. The AASA / AAIA Chairmen's Reception on Nov. 1 attracted a record crowd at AAPEX 2010, living up to its reputation as one of the best opportunities to network with executives from all the industry's leading companies - suppliers and customers.
