Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network, recently announced that Parts Plus of New Mexico has purchased the assets of J&J Auto Parts, a former Federated distributor in the Albuquerque, N.M. market. "Our group has seen a lot of expansion into additional markets over the last couple of years," Lambert says. "Our members are now in a position to concentrate and strengthen their hold in various communities." With the acquisition, Parts Plus of New Mexico plans to keep the existing location as a satellite warehouse, while maintaining the very knowledgeable staff and the excellent service it has always provided. According to Adam Honegger, CEO of Parts Plus New Mexico, the acquisition also gives Parts Plus of New Mexico access to a whole new customer and product base in a part of Albuquerque previously not penetrated. "This expansion will enable Parts Plus of New Mexico to increase our market share and strengthen the Parts Plus name throughout Albuquerque," he says. "This is our biggest acquisition over the past several years, and it will be a good springboard for future growth in New Mexico." The Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest program groups in the automotive aftermarket, consisting of 43 members, 248 WD locations and $2.5-billion-plus in annual sales throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Australia.
