Keystone Automotive, a subsidiary of LKQ Corporation, has offered product traceability through its Key Trac program for more than eight years. Products installed on vehicles repaired with aftermarket parts that are part of Keystone’s quality assurance programs are traceable from the repaired vehicles back to the manufacturers’ specific production runs.
KeyTrac provides 100 percent traceability of all of Keystone’s quality assurance parts from the vehicle owner back to the original raw materials, which is reports provides 100 percent traceability. At the time of installation, details including the part lot number, manufacturer and other pertinent tracking information. are automatically recorded as part of a body shop’s invoice records. The lot number corresponds to the date and place of the manufacturer’s part production.
