Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Interstate Batteries has launched a new Web site.
The site, www.InterstateBatteries.com, is designed to simplify the customer's shopping experience with an intuitive guided search while increasing confidence in their online battery purchasing decision, the company states.
According to Interstate Batteries' E-Commerce Director Phil Lockhart, the site is modeled after the best practices of online industry leaders. "We built this site from the ground up," he says. "Every choice we've made from data integration to the use of color, is influenced from research that user experience experts conducted."
The new Web site provides users with enhanced images touting vanity views, an improved battery finder, user-friendly Interstate store locator (including retail stores, warehouses and 200,000 dealer locations), guided searches and an express checkout for registered users. Additionally, Interstate's corporate information section prominently features the company's various divisions and 55-year commitment to recycling and social contribution.
"Visitors to the site will find fewer steps, easier edits and a comfortable way to enter information," Lockhart adds. "Guided searches will be tailored to what kind of battery the customer is looking for, posing questions much like those a sales representative would ask."
