The Collision Repair Executive Webcast (CREW) will welcome John Edelen as its guest on this week's broadcast Thursday at 11 a.m. PST. Edelen’s presentation, “Recognizing Professional Development through Training: Building a Framework for the Future” will outline the development of I-CAR’s Professional Development Matrix, set to launch in July 2010.

Among the many new features of the matrix are delivery of more timely and relevant training, and greater definition and recognition of the levels and specific training curriculum required for various collision repair professional jobs.

Edelen is the president and CEO of I-CAR, the Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair. He has held this position, on an interim and then full-time basis, since December 2007. Prior to his work with I-CAR, Edelen was with Allstate Insurance Co., where he was the officer responsible for the company’s policies, practices and procedures for the handling of auto damage claims. John is a graduate of Rutgers College.

He is also a graduate of New York Law School, and was admitted to the practice of law in New York and New Jersey.

CREW is designed to provide collision repair service providers, property and casualty insurance personnel and automobile physical damage industry suppliers, partners and constituents with high-level, current information about the rapidly changing industry.

Each Webcast includes topical, high-level industry information, as well as a special guest presenter. The delivery format is a Web-based visual presentation of the content, a simultaneous audio conference call and the capability for participants to question the presenters. Erick Bickett of Fix Auto, Matthew Ohrnstein, of Symphony Advisors, and Vincent Romans, of Tthe Romans Group, produce and present the semi-monthly, one-hour Webcast meeting.

There are a limited number of spots available. Reservations are required. If you are interested in joining the CREW webcast on Thursday at 11 a.m. PST or any future CREW session, contact Liz Stein at (714) 279-2027 or via e-mail at [email protected].
