NORCROSS, Ga. - AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes Americas has posted training schedules for business classes slated in third and forth quarters of 2009. These classes cover an array of topics for owners and managers within the collision repair industry.
“We assembled a very aggressive training calendar for 2009,” noted Mike Sillay services manager for AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes Americas. “Our total array of classes numbered almost 200 this year. We anticipated that with the current economic environment businesses would look for every advantage. We have found that our expectations were correct. Shops have been turning out in record numbers.”
The AkzoNobel training curriculum covers topics ranging from traditional subjects such as Estimating and Paint Material Management to topics significant for today’s economy such as Rapid Repair and Performance Management.
One subject that has growing demand is the recently released courses on Process Centered Environments (PCE). These courses, unique to AkzoNobel the company says, leverage information that has been written on the theories of lean processes. This information has been refined and packaged into real world programs specifically targeted for the collision repair industry.
