Dec. 9, 2011—Ingersoll Rand, a provider of vehicle service tools and equipment, on Thursday announced it received the 2011 SEMA Editor’s Choice award from Popular Mechanics for its W7150 High-Torque Cordless Impactool.
Ingersoll Rand said Popular Mechanics reviewed more than 1,500 new products during the 2011 SEMA Show to determine the most innovative and useful tools for automotive repair. The W7150 Cordless Impactool was the only power tool to be recognized in the top 15 products.
“Winning the Popular Mechanics 2011 SEMA Editor’s Choice Award is a distinct honor and serves as recognition of the advancements Ingersoll Rand has made in cordless technology,” said Nate Schmid, marketing manager for vehicle services for Ingersoll Rand. “With the launch of the W7150 coming in January, technicians will quickly see why this tool was one of the best new products at the SEMA 2011 convention.”
