April 15, 2013—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts will partner with the Collision Repair Education Foundation to support returning veterans through 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division's Hire Our Heroes Campaign.
CARSTAR and the Education Foundation will provide scholarships and support for collision repair training to help drive employment in the collision repair industry for returning veterans.
The Hire our Heroes program helps fund rehabilitation for wounded veterans through Operation Comfort’s Automotivation program, which provides opportunities for wounded soldiers to restore vehicles through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program.
Participating CARSTAR shop owners throughout the U.S. will support the campaign through the use of 3M products. For every qualifying purchase of 3M products by a CARSTAR shop owner, 3M will contribute to the campaign to reach a $250,000 goal.
