According to the 2009 J.D. Power and Associates Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction study, Michelin ranks highest in OE tire customer satisfaction in the luxury, car and truck/utility segments.

Scoring some 55 points higher than the industry average in each category, Michelin claimed its 57th, 58th and 59th J.D. Power award, four-times more than all competitors combined.

The survey of year-two owners of vehicles included 14 tire manufacturers. Michelin led all brands in overall satisfaction; the luxury, cars and truck/utility categories represent the three largest segments of the market.

“We are very gratified that consumers continue to have a high level of satisfaction with Michelin tires. We have a ‘no compromise’ approach to providing the handling, traction, ride and long wear that we believe consumers value, especially at a time when everyone is making the most of every dollar,” says Tom Chubb, vice president of OE marketing.

“These latest awards once again encourage everyone at Michelin to continue our work and innovation to meet the needs of the customer,” he adds.
