The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s (APRA) Chief Technical Officer, Mark Kothe, announced recently that the association would hold their first Regional Electrical Clinic in Quebec City, Canada on October 14-15, 2011.

Kothe stated, “The driving force behind holding this clinic is Steve Venne of Atelier Dynamo who had inquired several months ago about APRA providing some training to rebuilders/remanufacturers in his part of Canada.”

The clinic will be held at the Loews Hotel Le Concorde in Quebec City and the program will feature the following speakers and presentations:

  • Steve Venne will discuss how to select the correct product for vehicle applications;
  • Maurice Cote of Leece Neville will give a presentation;
  • Al Steadman of Litens will discuss alternator pulleys;
  • Dan Smith of Boston Auto Electric will talk about remanufacturing solenoids;
  • Carl Sickles of Exide will give an update on the ever evolving batteries of today, and
  • There will be a mini-exposition for suppliers who wish to display literature and small parts.
Kothe added, “We’re looking for a nice crowd of rebuilders who have never been exposed to the benefits and services of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association.”
