The Powertrain Expo run by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) and the International Big R Show run by the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) have agreed to continue to co-host their respective expositions at the Bally's Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 27-29, 2012.

ATRA’s Executive Director, Dennis Madden, stated, “We are pleased that we were able to co-host our exposition once again at the same time as the International Big R Show, which for the last nine years has been held in Las Vegas just prior to Industry Week featuring the AAPEX and SEMA Shows. Our experience with a joint ATRA/APRA show in Las Vegas in 2009 was beneficial to members of both associations. And, it looks like our joint show on October 29-31, 2011 will be another winner. Two great shows for the price of one.”

APRA’s President, Bill Gager, added, “Both of our associations believe very strongly that this will provide each other’s attendees and suppliers with some new opportunities and will help them reach more people. Both associations will continue to offer their broad range of technical seminars and workshops just prior to and during the exposition. We are pleased that the Bally’s Hotel was able to accommodate the meeting needs of both associations.”

Madden continued, “This combined exposition will be good news for everyone. After our joint show in 2009, and our planned event in 2011 at the Las Vegas Hilton, comments from exhibitors and attendees from both associations were very positive. Both associations look forward to working together to make this event a major achievement in the remanufacturing industry.”

Gager concluded, “We also look forward to welcoming other remanufacturers and rebuilders from a variety of other product lines from around the world to this major event. This joint event makes this the largest remanufacturing exposition on earth.”

For details on exhibiting, please contact the respective associations. Jeanie Magathan, Senior Vice President of APRA can be reached at or 703-968-2772, ext. 104. Diane Bland of ATRA can be reached at 805-389-0353.
