The
Car Care CouncilWomen’s Board (WB) has recognized the
industry companies that are sponsoring the inaugural WB
Aftermarket Women’s Business Summit,
scheduled for Nov. 1-3 in Las Vegas, Nev., during the
Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). The current
2011 sponsors are Advance Auto Parts, Tenneco, BWD,
Castrol, Dayco, Bosch, Polk, Continental, KYB and
Mitchell 1.
“On behalf of the Women’s Board, I’d like to thank everyone
who is supporting this dynamic, first-time event,” said
WB President Ruth Ehlinger, AAA. “We are so excited to be
originating such an outstanding event, an unprecedented
opportunity for women in the industry to network, learn
and gain insight on achieving business success, as well
as offering them a dynamic AAPEX experience, and these
companies are helping make it happen.”
Attendees of the summit will include female shop owners
and managers, and the day and a half event will feature
sessions covering such topics as: keeping customers for
life; case studies of successful efforts to attract
female customers in other major industries; the
importance of brand integrity; and recruiting and
creating teams that bring prosperity to your business. A
panel discussion of successful women in the industry, as
well as the Women’s Board reception and
AAPEX show floor tours, will also be featured for
summit attendees.
There are three levels of summit sponsorship available:
Diamond ($10,000), Emerald ($5,000) and Ruby ($3,000).
More general WB sponsorships are also available at a
variety of levels, to support this and other WB programs
and activities, including the WB scholarship program,
recruitment and retention of women in the industry and
the board’s consumer education outreach. Companies and
organizations that are interested in sponsoring the WB
should contact the board at [email protected], or call
240-333-1019.
