Situated along the Las Vegas Strip, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) has engaged the Paris Hotel as its host lodgings for the Nov. 1-5 Global Tire Expo. The event coincides with the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield says “the room rates we have secured show we are being sensitive to our member’s needs in this economy.” The facility “provides our members with beautiful surroundings, amazing dining options and an ideal Strip location – all at a very affordable rate.”
The tire show itself has been considerably upgraded, according to Littlefield.
“We strongly believe that creating the new Global Tire Expo – Powered by TIA, where everyone in the tire industry can gather and exhibit, as well as continuing our very popular special events provides an unparalleled opportunity for everyone in the tire industry to network, make important business contacts, learn from experts, and enjoy some of the best food and entertainment in the world,” he says.
“Booth sales are healthy, and we encourage everyone to see who is exhibiting,” Littlefield advises, “as they’ll quickly discover that the Global Tire Expo has the exhibitors that really shape this industry.”
Last year saw the introduction of two new special events: The Wine & Cheese Social and Tire Industry Honors. “Due to the overwhelming success of both events, they will be back for this year.” Both happen at the Paris Hotel on Monday, Nov. 1. The Wine & Cheese Social will start at 5 p.m. Admission to this event is complimentary for all TIA members and Show attendees.
Immediately following the Wine & Cheese Social, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., will be the Tire Industry Honors. This event will salute this year’s Tire Industry Hall of Fame inductees and the gavel will be passed from the current TIA president, Wayne Croswell, to incoming President Mike Berra.
Immediately following, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., will be the TIA’s annual Welcome Reception at the hotel’s Les Artistes Steakhouse. “Those who have attended previous Welcome Receptions know that this is one of the best opportunities to meet old friends, make important business contacts and do some serious networking,” Littlefield points out.
Sponsorships for this year’s TIA events – including the Welcome Reception, Wine & Cheese Social and Tire Industry Honors – remain available. “Sponsorship is an effective way to show support of TIA and to promote a business/product/service,” he says.
