Garage Equipment Supply gives back
In today’s tough economy, it is more important than ever to help those in need. In an effort to give back to the community, Garage Equipment Supply recently donated to multiple organizations and enacted the United Way Employee Giving Program.
The Employee Donation program allows for GES employees to easily donate a percentage of each paycheck to United Way Programs. GES believes that every little bit helps, and in this way, each employee has the ability to give to their favorite charity each month.
While GES employees did their part, the company also donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, the Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School Science Center and United Way.
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer walks are held in multiple U.S. cities each year to promote the search for the cure. Participants walk a series of marathons over a period of two days. Each walker must raise a minimum of $1800 in donations to participate. The Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School is a K-8 school located in Camarillo, Calif. It provides a high quality education program that integrates technology into a standards-based curriculum while developing the total child and fostering a love of learning.
United Way is a national network of nearly 1,300 local organizations that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health.
