Green Earth Technologies reports it is offering a solution to foreign oil dependency and environmental uncertainty with its G-OIL ultimate biodegradable green motor oils. These oils recently met and passed all the engine test criteria for The American Petroleum Institute (API) SM Certification.
API'S SM rating is the highest rating for gasoline engine oil certification. Tests were conducted by a nationally recognized independent third party testing facility. G-OIL, American-produced motor oil made with domestic animal fats, will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and will result in naturally better performance than conventional motor oils.
G-OIL is the first and only bio-based motor oil to receive such distinguished honors, the company reports. According to statistical data from the American Chemistry Council, less than 42 percent of motor oils are successful in passing the API SM engine tests, which are designed for crude base oils, making the fact that the bio-based G-OIL passed even more significant.
G-OIL is the world’s lowest petroleum, “eco-friendly,” ultimate biodegradable motor oil. Unlike traditional petrochemical-based motor oils from leading manufacturers, Green Earth Technologies’ G-OIL is made with American-grown renewable animal fats. These saturated fats, whose molecular single-bond carbon chains are similar to common petroleum oils, have no harsh effects on the environment, and drastically cut our dependence on foreign oil.
“We could not be more excited about G-OIL passing the API SM engine tests and are confident that we will soon be awarded the API certification,” says Jeff Marshall, president and CEO of Green Earth Technologies. “G-OIL will change the way the world thinks about motor oil. Passing the SM tests prove that G-OIL gives you the best of both worlds – from an environmental and performance perspective.”
