A number of auto technicians were the guests of honor at a recent board meetings for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Thirty-eight automotive professionals were recognized last month at ASE's fall board meeting at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter Hotel in San Diego, Calif.

The annual awards banquet spotlights top scorers on the ASE certification tests. Twenty-four different companies from OEM and aftermarket segments sponsored the individual technician recognition awards in the Auto, Truck and Collision categories.

In addition to looking for top scores on ASE tests, award sponsors examine on-the-job excellence and community service, among other factors, when selecting honorees.

“These awards recognize some of the best technicians in the automotive industry,” says Tim Zilke, ASE president & CEO. “ASE is proud to partner with our many industry sponsors in saluting these talented individuals who serve as outstanding role models. Hailing from all corners of this great nation, they all share a commitment to excellence that distinguishes them as true professionals.”
