Amerifill is said to be a proven “flat-free,” closed-cell, environmentally friendly polyurethane foam technology perfect for inflating tires. Its manufacturer, Amerityre Corp., has completed shipment of five filling machines for use in the commercial tire inflation market.

“Amerifill can be used in many tire applications including construction, industrial and mining applications to ‘flat-proof’ and extend the life of rubber tires,” says Dr. Gary Benninger, Amerityre’s president and CEO. The product “performs better under load, runs cooler and is more durable than current comparable materials,” he adds.

Each initial tire filling machine is expected to pump between 100,000 to 200,000 pounds of material annually, although the capacity of each device exceeds 500,000 pounds per year. The company has an additional six units in the pipeline that it expects to soon place with other potential buyers.

The machines are being sold to new customers in combination with the company’s Amerifill material.

“I am very pleased to confirm that we have had tremendous success using Amerityre’s new lightweight tire fill technology in various applications. With these results in hand, we are now expanding our aggressive marketing campaign to introduce this new environmentally friendly technology to all of Canada,” reports Thomas Ryan, president at Flat Free Tires of Canada, Inc.

“We have evaluated Amerifill in the field and in side-by-side comparison testing conducted by independent test laboratories,” Benninger says. “These evaluations and tests demonstrate that in many applications both the fill weight and cost can be significantly reduced by switching from the current oil based, environmentally hazardous fill materials to Amerifill.”
