Honeywell’s aftermarket brands – Prestone®, Bendix® and Autolite® – are partnering with the Automotive Experts Radio Network just in time for Fall Car Care Month, to help educate consumers and auto enthusiasts on general car maintenance.

Over the course of three months, three different technical experts from Honeywell Consumer Products Group will be featured on the radio network providing insight and information on specific topics to help generate awareness among listeners.

The Radio Network is comprised of the Bobby Likis Car Care Clinic, Sam’s Garage with Sam Memmolo and The Car Doctor with Ron Ananian. Each Honeywell expert will respond to a number of relevant questions in an effort to help motorists better understand the importance of brake, spark plug and cooling system maintenance.

“Our goal is to go well beyond sharing information about products, and to really tune into the listeners and what would be of benefit to them, and we can’t think of a better venue to use than the Automotive Experts Radio Network,” says Shannon Lara, senior manager, Global Marketing Services for Honeywell Friction Materials and Consumer Products Group. “Their listeners are already engaged and interested in automotive care and maintenance.”

The three Honeywell experts being featured on the network include Jay Buckley, the Bendix Brakes Answerman and Honeywell CPG technical training manager, David Buckshaw, Autolite technical trainer, and John Myers, Prestone technical trainer.

Buckley will explain the different types of pads that are used by today’s automakers and how they differ, why ceramic is so popular, how to minimize wheel dust and the importance of using premium products. Buckshaw intends to focus on providing a better understanding of a spark plugs’ function, what a misfire is and how it affects fuel economy, why it’s not acceptable to use copper plugs in a DIS engine and the benefits of using premium spark plugs. Myers will share details on cooling system maintenance, avoiding leaks and air in your cooling system and the critical role antifreeze/coolant plays.

From October through December, each of the three Honeywell experts will be featured on all three automotive radio shows for a series of three weeks. The Automotive Experts Radio Network programs are syndicated on nearly 200 radio stations across the country with more than 1.2 million listeners tuning in each week.
