The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s (APRA) Heavy Duty Transmission & Axle/ Driveline Division enjoyed a two-day information packed seminar in the Milwaukee, Wis., area on July 16-17. Division Chairman, Gary Phillips, president of Reliable Transmission Service of Riverview, Fla. presided over the meeting. Tours of AxleTech International’s manufacturing plant in Oshkosh, Wis., and Pierce Manufacturing’s Fire Fighting Vehicle plant in Appleton, Wis., were the featured tours. Technical presentations from Tina Alread and Tommy DeWildt of AxleTech and Norb Osburn of Oshkosh Truck began the meeting. They were followed by a presentation from the Owner Resource Group’s Will Burnett, Jon Gormin and Lee Walker on how to value your business. The Owner Resource Group provided attendees a scorecard on how the financial community will value their businesses, an important step in managing the business for the long-term maximum value. Networking opportunities were plenty for the more than 30 attendees to mix with appropriate sales marketing and purchasing people from the AxleTech, Oshkosh and The Owner Resource Group. |
