CHRYSLER: 2006 Ram truck, Durango, Aspen, 300, Magnum, Charger, Grand Cherokee, Commander
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with code P1521 indicates Incorrect Engine Oil Type. If the code appears even though the engine has the correct oil, reprogram the PCM with "the latest software" found at Chrysler's TechCONNECT Web site. The bulletin includes no instructions or part numbers. Bulletin 18-008-08
FORD: 2003-05 Excursion, 2003-07 F-Super Duty and E-Series with 6.0L diesel engine
SUBJECT: Coolant loss, coolant leaks, evidence of coolant in the oil, white exhaust smoke and/or no-start/no-crank due to coolant in the combustion chamber might be caused by a leaking head gasket or coolant leaking from the oil cooler or EGR cooler. The bulletin includes instructions for leak-testing the cooling system, oil cooler and EGR cooler, and a procedure for pressure testing the cooling system while driving. It also includes revised cylinder head bolt torque specifications. Bulletin 08-3-7

AUDI: 2002-05 A4 with 1.8L engine
SUBJECT: Coolant leaks and/or lack of heat in the cabin might be caused by a leaking cooling system plug. The plastic plug is bolted to the cylinder block and fills a hole in the thermostat housing that's used only on the assembly line. The bulletin includes illustrations and instructions for replacing the plug and O-ring and the part number of an improved plug. Bulletin 19 07 01
BMW: All models with twin-turbocharged inline-6 (N54) engine
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with fault codes indicating problems with boost pressure and the VANOS (variable valve timing) system might be caused by low oil pressure in the VANOS system. The problem is most likely after driving for some time at normal operating temperature and will be accompanied by a noticeable loss of power. If the ignition switch is cycled, the engine then performs normally. The oil pressure loss is caused by excessive wear of the intake camshaft "bearing ledge." The camshaft seals rotate with the camshaft and wear a groove in the bearing ledge. The seals and bearing ledge are replaceable parts. The bulletin includes part numbers and illustrations of good and worn parts, but no repair instructions. Bulletin SI B11 02 08
NISSAN: 2003-05 Sentra with 1.8L SULEV engine, 2003-06 Frontier with 2.5L SULEV engine
SUBJECT: A voluntary recall campaign has been launched to correct excessive emissions due to incorrect operation of the EVAP system. The repair requires reprogramming the PCM. Not all vehicles are included in the recall, and the bulletin includes a list of affected VINs, calibration numbers and programming instructions using the factory scan tool. Bulletin NTB08-023
TOYOTA: 2005-06 Matrix with automatic transmission and 4WD
SUBJECT: MIL illumination with code P0133 indicates a lazy oxygen sensor (bank 1, sensor 1). If no other codes are present and no other cause can be found, reprogram the PCM. The bulletin includes calibration numbers and specifies using "an approved J2534 interface" to perform this update. Bulletin 0016-08
FORD: 2005-07 Five Hundred, Freestyle, Mercury Montego with all wheel drive
SUBJECT: Traction Control Warning Lamp illumination with code P1889 might be caused by a faulty oil pressure/temperature sensor in the drivetrain. The bulletin notes that the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) is used only on vehicles with AWD and its fault codes are not stored in the PCM. When searching for fault codes, the DEM must be selected. The bulletin includes illustrations and instructions for replacing the sensor and O-ring. Bulletin 08-4-11
