SBA Sends 5 Year Strategic Plan to CongressWASHINGTON (Oct. 8, 2007) - After providing opportunity for public review and comment, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has submitted its Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2008 through 2013 to the Congress and the Office of Management and_Budget. "The Strategic Plan describes SBA's mission, goals, objectives, strategies,_and means to achieve those goals," said SBA Administrator Steve_Preston. "It describes the agency's direction as it moves ahead to expand_opportunities for our nation's small businesses and to assist victims of_federally-declared disasters." The Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 requires federal_agencies to update their Strategic Plan every three years and submit the_plan to the Congress.To access the strategic plan, visit www.sba.gov.(Source: SBA)
