EDUCATIONTake a Class ... Win A Car SOUTHFIELD, MI - Federal-Mogul Corp. is offering automotive aftermarket professionals the chance to win a beautifully restored and updated 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu during its second annual TEC Training Excellence Sweepstakes. Sponsored by the company's Technical Education Center (TEC) in St. Louis, MO, the sweepstakes is open to any automotive technician, machinist or parts professional who attends a 2006 TEC workshop in St. Louis, an evening field seminar in the United States or Canada or who enrolls via mail. TEC delivered its 2005 sweepstakes grand prize - a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino SS - to winner Brad LaRue, a Ponca City, OK technician, in December. The street-ready Chevelle Malibu being offered in the 2006 sweepstakes features a fully updated engine, four-speed transmission, power steering and restored body and interior. Technicians attending 2006 TEC workshops in St. Louis will help complete a broad range of technology updates on the vehicle, with the addition of new internal engine components, gaskets, steering and suspension components, U-joints, wheel bearings and seals, fuel delivery components, spark plugs, spark plug wires, wiper blades, brake components and headlamps. "We're once again enhancing a classic street machine with the latest premium technologies from Federal-Mogul's aftermarket product portfolio," said Bruce Maize, director, technical service and customer support, Federal-Mogul. "Every aftermarket professional who attends a TEC workshop or field training clinic comes away with rewards in the form of increased knowledge and skill, but this beautiful car will make the experience even more memorable." Federal-Mogul TEC offers a number of on-site and field training workshops covering engine, steering and suspension, driveline, brake, fuel system, ignition and automotive electronics. Courses are taught by ASE Master Certified instructors and use the latest diagnostic tools and equipment. The TEC has been awarded the Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) certification.
