Global coatings company BASF will sponsor the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium - IBIS 2011.
BASF's Senior Vice President Coatings Europe, Harald Pflanzl
described IBIS as "a neutral platform where the different sides of
the industry - bodyshop, automotive and influencer - can come
together. For us, the real benefit of IBIS is its ability to bring
these stakeholders together and open up dialogue.
"Over the next few years we expect to see the collision repair
market becoming more efficient, more environmentally friendly and
more customer-focused." he said. "Every market has its own local
issues to deal with but, through IBIS, I believe that we can find
ways of moving towards best practices. For example, there needs to
be more focus on key-to-key times and we also need to encourage
young people to join the profession. Education is fundamental to
our industry's future."
IBIS 2011 takes place at the Hotel Arts Barcelona, Spain, May 16-
18, 2011 and is sponsored by 3M, AkzoNobel, Audatex, BASF,
Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Thatcham.
The delegate package for IBIS 2011 is £1,650. The package includes
two nights of lodging at the Hotel Arts Barcelona, attendance at
all IBIS sessions, the delegates welcome dinner on May 16, the
international dinner on May 17 and the delegate's departure lunch
on May 18. For more information, visit www.ibisworldwide.com.
