CARSTAR is set to launch its new, state-of-the-art classroom on Ranken Technical College’s campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 28.
The classroom features the latest in technology geared to training the automotive technicians of the future, and the need for it highlights the dramatic changes in the automotive industry in the last decade.
“The diagnosis and repair of today’s vehicles is a sophisticated process, and requires advanced training. This classroom will allow us to present that training to our students.” says Ranken’s Vice President of Student Success, John Wood.
The new CARSTAR classroom was created as part of a five-year partnership between the Metro St. Louis CARSTAR Business Group and Ranken Technical College that will also include the donation of $35,000.
"The St. Louis CARSTAR group supports Ranken because many of us trained there,” states Kerry Woodson II, St. Louis CARSTAR Business Group Chairperson. "Fixing today’s high-tech cars requires advanced training and Ranken does a great job of providing their students with the education they need."
