PHILADELPHIA — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and its state and local partners will offer free seminars in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Md., June 4 and 5 to educate the auto body repair community on the latest environmental regulations affecting their businesses.
The workshop will include demonstrations in best practices by an experienced auto finisher, as well as offer pollution prevention techniques designed to save time and reduce waste.
To learn more about the free workshops and to register online, visit the Clean Air Partners Web site at www.cleanairpartners.net. The site also provides information about a $1,000 rebate for environmentally friendly equipment available for workshop participants.
The free workshops are part of the greater collision repair campaign created by EPA to address the environmental and health impacts caused by auto body repair shop emissions. The workshops are designed to reduce risk and pollution in the workplace and surrounding communities, while assisting these generally small businesses in complying with new regulations that control air emissions from surface coating operations, including auto refinishing.
