Michelin's truck tire division has been honored by the
American Trucking Associations (ATA) with the 2010 Mike
Russell "Good stuff" Trucking Image Award as the industry
supplier winner.
The award, which recognizes “those that creatively generate
positive awareness of the trucking industry,” was presented
to company officials at the annual ATA Management Conference
and Exhibition in Phoenix, Ariz.
“Michelin promotes a positive image and awareness of the
trucking industry through a number of programs and
partnerships, through our people, and most of all, through
our innovative products that we supply to fleets and owner-
operators,” says Ted Becker, vice president of marketing at
Michelin Americas Truck Tires.
“Michelin helps promote the trucking industry as essential,
safe and sustainable, so it is an honor to be recognized
with the ATA ‘Good stuff’ image award,” he reports.
“We are pleased to recognize Michelin North America,” says
ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “Michelin’s efforts in
enhancing and promoting the positive image of the trucking
industry are significant.”

“Good stuff. Trucks Bring It” is an industry-wide campaign
aimed at improving the image of trucking. “By emphasizing
the relevance of trucking to all aspects of American
society, the image campaign presents the public with a
positive, modern image of the professional driver and
industry. Everything we use comes by truck. “Trucks bring
It” is how the industry informs the public of its
importance,” Becker says.
