'Ice Road Trucker' to be guest of Bridgestone at industry show

Alex Debogorski, known as “the Original Ice Road Trucker,” will be greeting fans and signing autographs at Bridgestone’s Bandag/Firestone booth March 25-27 at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

“Few truckers are more ‘Born to Truck’ than Alex Debogorski, having sat behind the wheel for 38 years,” company executives report.

After driving the treacherous ice roads of Canada’s Northwest Territories for 28 years, Debogorski is described as “a larger-than-life character and something of a good luck charm to his fellow truckers.” He typically pulls the first load onto the ice each season.
