Snap-on Tools is back in the pits for the 2010 racing season, sponsoring a number of teams on various circuits.

For the 30th consecutive season, Snap-on will sponsor Penske Racing. This year Penske will have teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (Kurt Busch, Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski), the NASCAR Nationwide Series (Justin Allgaier and Brad Kesolowski) and the Indy Racing League (Ryan Briscoe, Helio Castroneves and Will Power).

“We have had a tremendous partnership with Roger Penske and his racing teams since 1980 and we are thrilled to continue that relationship again this year,”says Alicia Smales, vice president of marketing for Snap-on Tools.

Building on a successful 18-year relationship, Snap-on has also expanded its sponsorship with NHRA legends Cruz and Tony Pedregon. In 2010, Snap-on will serve as the primary sponsor for Cruz’s NHRA Funny Car team and as an associate sponsor of Tony and his team.

“Cruz and Tony have been great representatives for Snap-on for nearly 20 years and we look forward to a great year for both of them this season,” states Smales. “Snap-on has been involved with some of the greatest NHRA drivers in history. We are continuing that tradition with our continued sponsorship of two world champions like Tony and Cruz.”

Snap-on will also sponsor the Rusty Wallace Racing Nationwide Series team, featuring up-and-coming NASCAR stars Brendan Gaughan and Steve Wallace. In addition, Snap-on will be supporting Mike Roman and his land speed racing car as he attempts to break even more land speed records in 2010.

“Our racing involvement fits in perfectly with the Snap-on NO COMPROMISE TOUR™ which will be traveling the country again this year,” says Smales. “The tour will be making stops at several race tracks so Snap-on Nation will not only have an opportunity to meet and greet our great group of drivers, but they can also learn more about the new and innovative tools Snap-on has to offer.”
