The Car Care Council has provided shops with the know-how and educational materials needed to prepare for, and hold, Car Care Months events throughout the year.

In order to highlight the success of 2009, the council is reminding shops how to participate in its consumer education campaign.

• Start preparing for your next vehicle inspection event by visiting www.carcare.org/NCCM to view the Car Care Council’s new Community Car Care Events video online.

• Visit www.carcareindustry.com, the industry’s Car Care Month Tool Kit, for ideas on getting involved and promoting Car Care Months 2010 in your shop.

• Check out the free digital Car Care Guide, which is a reference to help maintain vehicles and extend their lives.

• Utilize the Car Care Council. It can provide shops with inspection forms and a free Event Listing on its Web site, as well as assist shops in purchasing educational items to distribute to their customers: Car Care Guides, Point-of-Sale Kit and/or “Be Car Care Aware” brochures.
