HRE Performance Wheels has selected In Sixth Gear (ISG) as an authorized seller for its product line.
According to Evan Kinsella, HRE’s president, the company “has high standards when choosing authorized sellers.”
Its in-house engineers specify materials that meet “stringent quality requirements and achieve the performance attributes befitting the world’s finest vehicles,” he adds.
Based in Vista, Calif., HRE uses forged aluminum components and aerospace-grade materials to custom manufacture three-piece wheels. Each set is manufactured to exact specifications required by the customer, be it a standard OE configuration or an exotic, one-of-a-kind fitment.
From 1977 to 1980, HRE focused on designing racing wheels for Formula Ford, the Mazda Pro Series, Bosch Super Vee and Formula Atlantic. By 1984, the company had become the first U.S. wheel manufacturer to successfully spin form three-piece rims as it introduced a new line of racing-bred street wheels, according to Kinsella.
ISG is headquartered in Irwindale, Calif.
