General Tire refuses to rest on its laurels following last weekend’s SNORE 250 off-road race. General-sponsored Mike Horner of the Synergy Racing Team finished second in Class 8, and Tyler Casoria won Class 7S, assuring himself a Class 7S SNORE points championship.
“General Tire continues to rack up the wins in our return to off-road competition,” says marketing director Travis Roffler. “When we decided to re-enter off-road competition, we knew our Grabber tires could stand up to the competition. But we underestimated how great they really are. This has just been a phenomenal debut season for these tires, and for General Tire.”
Designed with a three-ply Duragen-reinforced body construction to stand up to the rigors of off-road conditions, the Grabber also features a newly-developed competition-specific tread compound. The company offers two distinct tread designs for different types of competitive conditions. In addition, the Grabber name and General logo are prominently featured on the sidewall in red and white letters. The Grabber competition tires are designed in size 37x 12.50R17 for class 1, 7S, 7 unlimited, 8 and trophy truck.
Duragen is also built into the Grabber HTS light truck tire that launched earlier this year. Born from Baja, the Grabber HTS is built on the technology that went into engineering the company’s Grabber off-road competition tires, yet translated for the street, according to Roffler.
