Chicago Pneumatic has addressed technicians’ needs to get into smaller spaces with a new, lightweight 3/8-inch pneumatic impact wrench, the CP7735.

The No. 1 feature of this new wrench, which offers  300 foot-pounds of torque in a lightweight magnesium and composite design, is how compact its about 1/2 inch shorter than other wrenches.

“It gets in the tight spots (technicians) need,” says Brian Dove, senior global product marketing manager for Chicago Pneumatic.

The CP7735 is the first composite 3/8-inch pneumatic impact wrench in the Chicago Pneumatic line, he notes. It features a twin hammer clutch for durability and the strength to remove tough fasteners. With a three position regulator and push button forward/reverse, users have ultimate control of the tool with one hand.

There are three positions in forward and reverse, “because if you’re not careful and you have full power with a fastener in general that doesn’t have that much torque on it, you can strip the threads,” Dove explains. “And normally if you take it off in position one, you’re going to put it on in position one.”

And, the ergonomic handle and trigger provide technicians with comfort over long periods of use and less fatigue, according to the company.

Weighing only 2.55 pounds at 5.7 inches in length, the CP7735 is ideal for engine assembly/disassembly, utility vehicle and motorcycle repair and transmission work. With a free speed of 10,000 rpm and a max torque of 300 foot-pounds, the CP7735 provides technicians with the power and speed to get the job done fast.
