The Automotive Service Association of Missouri/Kansas (ASA Mo/Kan) has a number of events and training coming up throughout September, including the first workshop this week. “The Science of Selling is Tuesday evening, with dinner at 6 p.m. and a meeting and training from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This meeting will focus on improving automotive repair sales and profits in your shop by learning the "science of selling." Meeting contents will include an abridged "School of Selling,” and will offer sales tips on how to build long term customers, how to sell big ticket items, how to track lost sales and how to effectively communicate with younger, "Generation X & Y" customers. The meeting is at Ozarks Technical College, OCW Room 108BC, and cost is $20 for ASA members; $25 for non-members. On Sept. 18, “How to Sell Preventive Maintenance” will take place with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. and meeting and training from 7-8:30 p.m. According to ASA Mo/Kan, shops will not survive unless they begin to aggressively market preventive maintenance service. Offering preventive maintenance services to our customers is an honorable venture. It preserves their investment and keeps their vehicles trouble-free and fun to drive. The meeting is at V's Italian Restaurant, 10819 East Hwy 40, Independence, Mo., and costs $20 for ASA members; $25 for non-members. “Do's and Donuts by George Witt” will be presented Oct. 16, in BTC Exhibit Hall - Room 2003, 1775 Universal Avenue, Kansas City, Mo. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and training is from 7-8:30 p.m. How many of these questions and issues do you need answered to make your business run more smoothly? Witt will answer the following and more: · How to effectively use training · Dealing with the angry customer · Selling the big list of repairs · Increase your shop's bottom line · How to sell diagnostics · Dealing with Everett Sinchou · How to avoid getting stiffed · Stop chasing noises you can't hear · Refuse money to make a bigger sale · Free code reading parts stores · How to sell A, B and C lists · How to put on a car clinic for women For more information or to register for the events, visit www.asamokan.org. |
