With new tires out on the floor and a brand new booth, Hankook is ready to roll into the Nov. 1-4 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

Following positive third quarter financial results, the company will unveil its newly designed exhibition booth as part of the Global Tire Expo, with new tire technology, in-booth promotions and various tire- and motorsports-related announcements.

With a large footprint that incorporates two levels and a new design, Hankook’s booth will showcase the company’s new “Global Exhibition Identity” and its line of passenger car, light truck and commercial tires.

“In just one short year since SEMA 2010, our brand has made tremendous strides here in North America and specifically the United States, with increased sales, innovative new marketing initiatives, continued investment in R&D, and the release of new advanced technologies,” says Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America Corp.

“We are excited to be showcasing some of our key efforts at SEMA 2011 as we continue to dedicate ourselves to overall excellence for our customers, dealers, and employees,” he notes.

The company will showcase its latest technology, including the enfren eco all-season performance tire and feature booth activities such as the interactive Hankook Home Run Derby.

Participants who complete a short iPad registration form will each get a chance to try and hit a home run on a Nintendo Wii gaming system. If they are able to hit one out of the virtual park, their name will then be entered into a daily random drawing to win a free set of tires.

Each day, a half-hour minutes before the close of the show, one person will be selected to win a set of new car or light truck tires of their choice.

Shin-Soo Choo of the Cleveland Indians will be at the Hankook booth on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. signing autographs.

The firm’s newest advancement, the enfren eco, Eco-Friendly All-Season Performance tire, features an exclusive high silica rubber tread compound that lowers rolling resistance and increases wet and dry handling, according to Lee.

Vehicles on display at company’s SEMA booth will include:

  • Conrad Grunewald’s 730-hp Hankook Tire Formula Drift Chevy Camaro;
  • The Maserati GranTurismo, the first modern, two-door, four-seater coupé;
  • The Honda CRZ featuring Hankook’s newest enfren eco tires; and
  • The 2012 Toyota Tundra fitted with Hankook’s Dynapro HT tires
Additionally, the Hankook Tire Mobile Rig will be stopping by SEMA and will be located outside in the Silver Lot, bringing attendees an up-close look at the company’s tires.
