TIA tallies votes, six members seated on board of directors
With the ballots cast and the votes tallied, the Tire
Industry Association (TIA) has released the results of
its recent 2011 Board of Directors election. There were
six seats open, each with a three-year term.
Returning TIA board members include Gary Albright of Becker Tire & Treading, Inc., Great Bend, Kan.; Robert Hendry of 31 Incorporated, Newcomerstown, Ohio; Brett Matschke of Richlonn’s Tire & Service Centers, Muskego, Wis.; and Steve Zimmerman of Tuffy Mfg. Industries Inc., Akron, Ohio.
New to TIA board are John Derringer of Driven Products, Kent, Wash. and Robert Frick of Schrader International, Columbia, S.C.
Additionally, Lyssa da Costa with Hercules Tire International of Ontario, Canada was placed into the two-year vacancy that was created by the election of Randy Groh, U.S. Oil Co., Inc., to the position of secretary.
The new board takes office Oct. 31 at the TIA annual meeting being held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.
