Michelin is aiming for the high-end market with the introduction of its Primacy MXM4 all season tire that boasts of a 19-foot shorter stopping distance and exceptional longevity – carrying a 55,000-mile warranty for H/V-rated sizes and a 45,000-mile W-rated warranty.
“The right tire can make a difference in enhancing a luxury vehicle owner’s driving experience,” says Don Byrd, vice president of marketing.
“Providing a tire like the new Primacy MXM4 allows us to deliver exceptional performance to match their needs,” he adds, “without having to sacrifice what is important to them.”
The company’s new Helio Compound – made with sunflower oil – is being used for the first time in an all season Michelin tire. The material delivers increased traction at low temperatures for braking and handling in wet conditions, says Byrd, and better overall performance in the snow.
A variety of sizes and fitments are now available.
Several marketing initiatives include in-store retailing add-ons that allow smart phone users to view videos and glean additional details.
