Bridgestone is donating $100,000 to assist with relief efforts following the floods in the Middle Tennessee region.

Funds are being contributed to the Nashville Area Red Cross, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Red Cross and the Rutherford County Red Cross.

“Our teammates truly sympathize with the tragedy suffered in the Middle Tennessee region,” says CEO and President Gary A. Garfield. “We hope our contribution to the Red Cross and our parent company’s generous matching contribution will assist recovery efforts in the Middle Tennessee communities, and help area families impacted by the flood rebuild their lives faster.”

Employees at the Bridgestone Americas Support Center in Nashville have raised more than $5,000 for the Teammate Assistance Fund (TAF) and dedicated countless volunteer hours to help several co-workers who lost their homes in the flood waters. The TAF provides employees with financial assistance in times of emergency and is supported entirely by contributions from their fellow workers.
