Pirelli will be supplying the factory-fitted tires for all three versions of the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro – the LS, LT, and SS.
The exclusive tire on the 300-bhp LT model is the new P Zero Nero All Season P245/50ZR19XL 104W tire, “designed to provide ultra-high performance and all-season traction for today’s musclecars,” according to Tom Gravalos, vice president of marketing, motorsports and original equipment sales for Pirelli Tire North America.
The 422-bhp SS is to come with the P Zero 245/45ZR20XL 103Y on the front with the 275/40ZR20XL 106Y mounted on the rear.
Chevy and Pirelli also offer an optional dealer-installed 21-inch tire and wheel package replacing the standard fitment with Pirelli P Zero 245/40ZR21XL 100Y front tires and the P Zero 275/35ZR21XL 103Y for the rear.
Calling the Camaro “one of the most iconic and beloved musclecars ever conceived,” Gravalos notes how the new edition “is a fire-breather from the LS and LT models all the way up to the incredible LS3 SS with its 422 horsepower.”
He adds that “the design and execution of these cars is absolutely mind-blowing, and Pirelli is honored to be the ultra-high performance tire for the Camaro.”
