OMAHA, Neb. – Dingman’s Collision Center has received the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Integrity Award, an honor that focuses on demonstrated ethical business practices with key stakeholders including customers, employees and community at large, rather than a company’s growth, profitability or popularity. The Integrity Award winners were chosen by an independent panel of business leaders and members of Omaha’s academic community.

“We work for the customer and we really do do the right thing and it’s not always popular,” says Dingman’s Collision Center Owner Boyd Dingman. “We hold the insurance companies accountable to do the right thing and we don’t let them tell us to do the wrong thing. We hold our ground and put the insurers feet to the fire and say this is what we’re going to do to do it right.”

Dingman has realized much success with his business philosophy of placing the customer first and operating in an ethical manner, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed. He is the recipient of numerous business awards, including the Omaha BBB’s Small Business of the Year Award, and Dingman has been honored by the National Auto Body Council (see related stories, right).

“The BBB Integrity Award Winners have shown that ethics and integrity are core values of their organization,” says Jim Hegarty, president and chief executive officer of the Better Business Bureau serving Nebraska, South Dakota and southwest Iowa. “The 2008 BBB Integrity Award Winners join an elite group of organizations that realize dealing fairly and honestly with employees, customers and partners are central to profitability and growth.”
