GMAC Insurance Rebrands Company Name

June 25, 2013

June 25, 2013—GMAC Insurance recently announced that it has changed its company name to National General Insurance.

The company said the transition to the new name is already in motion. The National General Insurance brand name will appear on the company’s logo, websites, correspondence and underwriting systems by July 1.

National General Insurance said the change will not affect coverage or claims of existing policyholders.

“Our name is new but our deep dedication to our policyholders is unchanged,” said Byron Storms, president of National General Insurance. “The new National General Insurance brand enables us to establish our own identity while maintaining our more than 70 years of industry experience, our breadth of products and our national reach.”
