CARSTAR Colorado business group giving back this holiday season

Dec. 12, 2016
CARSTAR’s Colorado stores are teaming up with three charities to spread joy and provide warmth to children in need within their communities in time for the holidays.

CARSTAR cares, and it is giving back this holiday season.  CARSTAR’s Colorado stores are teaming up with three charities to spread joy and provide warmth to children in need within their communities in time for the holidays.  CARSTAR, its employees and their families are making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children by partnering with KidsGiving 365, Urban Peak Children’s Shelter and Arapahoe County Human Services.

Giving back
CARSTAR’s Colorado stores will be making a cash donation to KidsGiving 365 that will go toward purchasing holiday gifts for Denver’s inner city underprivileged kids.  The unique program also gives kids a chance to play Santa’s Elves and distribute the gifts. KidsGiving365 works closely with the Denver Housing Authority so that the hundreds of families and children giving through the events are helping thousands of those in need in the community.

Providing warmth
CARSTAR stores in Colorado will also be working with Urban Peak and the Urban Peak Children’s Shelter collecting winter coats for boys and girls ages 14 to 24, who are either homeless or at-risk.  The stores will be accepting gently used or new coats with the help of all of their employees and families.  Additionally, CARSTAR’s Colorado stores will be making a cash donation to Urban Peak to keep the children of Colorado warm this winter.

Spreading joy
Lastly, CARSTAR’s Colorado stores are “Partnering for the Holidays” with Arapahoe County Human Services to provide new unwrapped toys and gifts for its holiday store.  Families who would otherwise have nothing to give to their loved ones will have an opportunity to come pick out for free what they want and need with pride and dignity.  Partnering for the Holidays is an innovative program to help empower families to create their own special memories with their families.
