Dec. 7, 2012—H&V Collision Centers, a multiple shop collision operation in New York, has partnered with Progressive Insurance to donate a refurbished vehicle to a local woman in need.
The vehicle, which was provided by Progressive Insurance and refurbished by H&V, will be donated through the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany. The recipient is a local woman who is recovering from domestic abuse.
A vehicle gifting event will be held Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Progressive Insurance office in Colonie, N.Y.
This will be H&V’s second vehicle donation event this year. The company recently donated a refurbished Toyota Camry through the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany to another woman who was also recovering from domestic violence. In addition, H&V donated a refurbished van to a family whose son is paralyzed, confined to a wheelchair, and experiencing other medical problems.
H&V operates four collision repair locations in the New York communities of Troy, Colonie, Queensbury and Saratoga Springs. The repair operation is featured in FenderBender’s December 2012 issue. Owner Vartan Jerian discusses the importance of community involvement, and how the business has benefitted from the effort.
