April 17, 2014—Lincoln Electric announced on Tuesday that it has released the latest version of its VIKING auto-darkening welding helmet, designed to improve optics and comfort.

New features for the VIKING-2 series include a pivot-style headgear for greater comfort, and also a three-year warranty.

The auto-darkening cartridges in the new helmet offer a EN 379-1/1/1/1 optical clarity rating. The ratings correspond to four important categories.
