A fire late Thursday night caused extensive damage to an auto body and collision business.
September 28, 2018—A fire Thursday night caused heavy damage to an auto body shop in Chardon, Ohio, reported Cleveland.com.
Firefighters were still battling hot spots at Chardon Square Auto and Body Collision early Friday morning and they expected to remain at the site throughout the night, according to the report.
Thirteen fire departments responded to the two-alarm fire. The building had a wooden-pitched roof built over a flat roof. The pitched roof collapsed on the flat roof, making it difficult to reach the flames in-between.
According to Cleveland.com, firefighters were also concerned about flammable liquids inside the building. The were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown.
