June 28, 2017—Fix Auto World announced it plans to regain the rights to the Fix Auto trademark in the U.S. and directly enter the U.S. market before the end of 2017. In return, Fix Auto USA said it will legally fight to retain licensing of the Fix Auto trademark.

The Fix Auto trademark is owned by Mondofix, a holding company of the Fix Auto international brand.

“By regaining the rights to our trademark, we are asserting our commitment to the U.S. market," said Steve Leal, president of Fix Auto World. "We look forward to growing the Fix Auto brand in the US by directly pursuing aggressive new strategies that leverage our global track record of elevating the brand and developing insurance channels.”

"We see the potential for growth in the US automotive aftermarket space and we look forward to building on the momentum we’ve gained around the world", added Leal.

Fix Auto USA notified Mondofix via its legal counsel that it will continue to operate under the existing lkicense agreement that exists with Mondofix. Fix Auto USA has also notified Mondofix that it "will be held accountable and liable for any damages incurred by Fix Auto USA or its franchisees as a result of Mondofix’s actions involving the existing license areement."

“We were extremely disappointed to read the Mondofix press release today concerning U.S. operations since it has no basis in fact,” said Erick Bickett, chairman of Fix Auto USA. “Mondofix has made its intent clear to usurp the hard-earned equity and loyalty we have built in the United States for nearly 20 years. We will vigorously defend and protect our business relationships from any activity that would affect or injure those business relations.”
