July 21, 2017—GRC-Pirk announced that an undisclosed private equity firm is subsidizing some collision repair shops for the installation of RecsLock inspection protection software.

The subsidy is made available for a pilot program to secure multi-agency compliance under the California Environmental Report System requirements. The new California compliance reporting requirements include an ambitious and wide-ranging directive to consolidate electronic data and allow various enforcement agencies to correlate permit requirements, constraints and conditions.

The EPA Office of Environmental Information recently conducted an open call on its Shared Cross-Media Electronic Reporting Rule (CROMERR). Over the past couple of years, EPA has been assisting states and other co-regulators in implementing electronic reporting programs by developing and managing CROMERR compliant services centrally and offering these services to co-regulators as needed to reduce time and money from developing and maintaining these services independently.

“Comparing compliance data has become easierfor inspectors using high-speed data aggregation technology, but demanding for shop managers trying to keep up with everchanging passwords and dissimilar reports that might wind up on the worldwide web,” stated Taylor Carter, general manager of GRC-Pirk.

Sal Pannazzo, CARSTAR area manager of operations in California, Utah, Missouri and Arizona, stated, “The online RecsLock service provides our shops with compliance software that organizes, secures and simplifies the reporting requirements of federal, state and local agencies.”
